This location, set in Japan during a period of immense economic growth, features novelties related both to gameplay (which may become “double-decked” in one spot) and to visual design.
I worked as the supervisor for this map, overseeing all the new vegetation assets and providing feedback to the level artists. My work also covered making the prototype of the hero tree with Shimenawa using SpeedTree 8, adjustments to represent gameplay better, making all zones consistent with each other, and working with outland area and lighting. Additionally, I took care of presenting the project to our partners in Japan.
